As we work to ensure your continued success as a student, we have implemented mandatory updates to our online courseroom attendance policy.
Beginning with the December term that starts November 27, 2017 and going forward, it will be necessary you meet the following minimum requirements to establish attendance in an online course:
As a reminder, you must post attendance by end of day Wednesday (WEEK 1) to avoid being dropped from the online course!

Blackboard doesn't support multiple timezones.
Students working in a timezone other than Eastern Standard Time (US and Canada, UTC -5:00) must manually do timezone calculations to ensure they're submitting assignments and exams on time. UTC is Coordinated Universal Time.
SIU students have access to 1-on-1 online tutoring services for additional academic support. Login to Blackboard, then click on the "Tutoring" link and follow the instructions to work with a tutor at any time.
